This service can assist with finding the right housing option for you: SHARE ACCOMODATION PRICE RANGE: Costs may start at approximately A$100 per week. Extra if furnished and for shared utilities. DESCRIPTION: Students often share a house with other students, where you can expect a bedroom to yourself, but share the rest of the house and expenses with the other people living there. PRIVATE RENTAL PRICE RANGE: Costs may start at approximately A$180 - A$400 per week. DESCRIPTION: A private rental allows you to choose where you want to live - in the city, near your campus, near the beach or in the Adelaide Hills. In addition to paying weekly rent, you will also need to budget for services/utilities, such as electricity, gas, water and telephone. The style, age and rent payable will vary from suburb to suburb. You may need to sign a rental agreement and pay some rent in advance (bond). SHORT TERM / TEMPORARY ACCOMMODATION PRICE RANGE: Costs may vary from A$100 - A$130 per week. DESCRIPTION: Temporary accommodation can be arranged in a Backpackers Hostel, or motel, in line with your individual budget, to allow you time to settle into life in Adelaide, and make a decision on what longer term accommodation you may wish to choose. FORMAL STUDENT ACCOMMODATION PRICE RANGE: Costs range from A$130 to A$290 per week. Some provide meals. DESCRIPTION: Specially built student residences, some of them conveniently located near campuses of TAFE South Australia (saving on transport costs) and the three major Universities, provide students with a private room (so you can concentrate on your studies) whilst sharing other facilities in an environment where you can mix with lots of other students (many of them from around the world). HOMESTAY PRICE RANGE: Costs are approximately A$190 - A$230 per week, depending on meals, services and facilities offered. DESCRIPTION: This is where you live with an Australian host family. Host families are located all over Adelaide and throughout the region. These are very welcoming environments, giving you a chance to really experience Australian life and culture. Homestays are also very good for students who want to practice their spoken English at all times. Most homestay hosts offer dining options.
