MYSA's training is informed by other areas of the business to ensure that the curriculum content is current, practical, flexible and responsive to the needs of participants.

Using an evidence-based based approach informed by MYSA's primary research, service delivery experience, and extensive training experience, our training portfolio enables participants to increase awareness, skills, competence and strategies to engage, support and deliver services to young people from culturally diverse backgrounds, their families and communities.

MYSA's core curriculum covers statistical information on refugee and migrant arrivals to Australia, the legal framework governing the refugee determination process, a broad overview of the refugee and migrant experience, current issues and needs, key service delivery principles and practical strategies and techniques to increase knowledge, skills and confidence to work more effectively with culturally diverse communities. Additional training modules have been developed to cater for workers in specialised areas including mental health, drugs and alcohol and sexual health.
