MYSA celebrated this year’s Refugee Week theme “Finding Freedom: Family” by hosting its annual Have Tea with a Refugee event at Rundle Mall Gawler Place.

An estimated 66 million people are currently displaced, either within their home country or in a foreign country. Approximately 20,000 are currently settled in Australia. Over half are children and young people.

"Come and share high tea with a young refugee and hear about where they have come from, the journey they have taken, the challenges they have overcome, and their hopes and dreams for the future."
